Tips for Freelance Writers

At some point in their writing careers, all writers experience writer’s block. While this feeling may be daunting and even paralyzing at times, it’s essential that we fight through it and continue writing!

There are various strategies available to you for dealing with writer’s block. From changing your surroundings to writing out ideas on paper, there are plenty of solutions you could try out.

1. Take a Break

Reducing writing productivity requires taking breaks that are meaningful and enjoyable, such as playing music that moves you or painting pictures that spark creativity. Effective breaks include activities which promote creativity while being self-motivating; these may include playing music that inspires you or painting pictures. Engaging in such activities may stimulate the right brain while relieving stress from prefrontal cortex musings as well as improving memory retention and increasing dopamine production within the brain.

5. Try something new

Writer’s block is an all too common problem among professional writers, college students and anyone tasked with producing written content as part of their job or role. Even some of the world’s best known authors have encountered writer’s block at some point during their careers – but it shouldn’t be seen as an illness; rather it is simply an inability to translate thoughts and ideas onto paper pages.
